Fibs and Shutdowns

Have you been hearing lots of lies about the present crisis of governing in the United States?  I thought so.  Here, most of them are debunked, and the talking points routed and turned on their heads.  Yes, we are being lied to, fluently, shamelessly, and repeatedly. 

I apologize for that political interlude.  I'll try not to let it happen again soon.  Budgets generally bore me, even when it's my money, and I would rather talk about greater and more interesting issues here.  Nor do I want to alienate anyone over politics.  But I do detest lies and hypocrisy above 8.5 or so on the Richter scale.  And earthquakes, like elections, have consequences.
